Gentle Beauty Power Products That Helped Me Show Up Authentically

For years, I have been copying celebrities' beauty routine, Tiktok beauty trends etc. I admit that I am a beauty junkie, especially ones with stunning packaging. I thank the heavens everyday for being blessed with good skin, and that has allowed me to try different products from different brands. You can name any trend or any product, I'm pretty sure I have tried it, if not, it would be on my list. After trying so many trends, I got tired and I told myself, 2026 would be the year for me to be authentically myself. I won't copy, but I would be inspired. I have tried enough products, whether drugstore or luxury to know well enough what works for me, and I hope this article inspires you to do so. FYI, I have combination skin with a particularly oily T-zone that glistens like ethereal moonlight 3 hours after washing my face.
Chanel Le Blanc Rosy Light Drops

I have been using this for a few years now and this is still my favourite highlighter. I previously used the Master Strobing Liquid by Maybelline which was fantastic, but they somehow discontinued it. This might be an expensive substitute but it really gives a very natural glow-from-within look.
Usage:
On glam nights, I use this as a primer before putting on foundation.
Daily highlighter on high points of face.
Rare Beauty Stay Vulnerable Melting Blush

On days where I wish for a healthy and glowy look (which is everyday), I apply this blush with my fingers directly to my face as I don't really like using brushes. The look is really natural and I have gotten alot of "Are you drunk or sunburnt?", which I will take as a compliment. It might look very vibrant in the photo above but this is a cool-toned pink which compliments my skin very much.
Usage:
Dab on eyelids as an eyeshadow substitute for 5-minute looks.
Particularly pretty when applied across the cheeks and nose for a sunkissed look.
Color Fuse Glassy Blush Balm Stick

Everyone should know that I am a hardcore Lady Gaga fan by now, and if you don't, we need to hang out more. Before, I have only tried the foundation by Haus Labs and I think it is a great dupe to the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. So I was gifted this Balm Stick for my birthday and now I feel like I can't live without it. It's very sheer and buildable, so it also gives you the essential healthy glow we all need for summer. The difference between this and the Rare Beauty Blush I recommended is this one has a shine to it, so it's very good for subtle looks. And the application? Via fingers, my absolute favourite.
Usage:
Use it as a blush on your cheekbones to achieve the off-duty-model effect
Apply to eyelids for a natural glow when you look pale
Vitamin Enriched Face Base - Moisturizer and Primer

My makeup artist for my wedding introduced me this product and I think it's such a lifesaver. So the night before my wedding, I only had 1 hour of sleep and of course my skin was as dry as a cactus. The best remedy was this moisturizer. The moment my MUA massaged it onto my skin, it was absorbed fully in and my skin became immediately more supple. I think it would be a great day moisturizer if it came with SPF.
Usage:
Use as a moisturizer after serum day and night for supple and bright skin
For lazy days, you can use this as a primer/moisturizer right after cleansing too
Glam Face Palette

Tried this back in 2023 and this was so convenient for me! My MUA used this on me and the glow was out of this world. I also love how your whole look can be completed with only one palette, so convenient for travelling. I personally love her eyeshadows because they are so pigmented.
Usage:
Great for glamming up or even a normal daily look as the shades are universally flattering, also comes in a darker shade for darker skin tones.
These are my top picks for beauty this week, which one have you tried before and I would love to hear about your recommendations too!
