Best Hand Creams 2022
If you know me personally, you'll recall that I have super sweaty palms. However, when I'm in an air-conditioned room, my palms and soles pull a Jekyll and Hyde and get as dry as a desert. You know how sometimes the skin around your nails get dry and wrinkly too? That's when you need to say hi to hand creams! Here are my top picks and how moisturising each one is. Enjoy!
1. Neutrogena Hand Cream
If you are going on a trip where the climate will be very cold and dry, this is the best hand cream for you. With just a small coin's size, this hand cream is able to moisturise your hands. Not to mention, this product is also fragrance free! I wouldn't call it hand cream though because the consistency of this product feels more like a waxy gel. Upon applying, it feels like there is a layer of protection around your hands. You might not want to use this if you are outdoors and in a hot and humid climate!

2. Kiehl's Ultimate Strength Hand Salve
This one is my favourite as well for overseas winter travels! It's not as hydrating as the Neutrogena one but does give off a very calm and cool scent. Unlike the Neutrogena hand cream, this one has a dense cream-like consistency which feels like cake batter (I know this is a weird way of describing it but I'm really hungry right now). I would also not recommend this for hot and humid climates.
Hydration level: 4.5/5
3. Grown Alchemist Soothing Hand Cream
The first time I tried this, I was so mesmerised by the texture and scent of it, not to mention the elegant minimalist packaging. I love this product so much because the texture of the cream is so smooth and velvety, which is what makes this cream so luxurious. I have yet to try the other variations but I'm sure Grown Alchemist products do not disappoint. This hand cream is perfectly fine when used in Malaysia.

4. Caudalie Rose de Vigne Hand and Nail Cream
I have looked everywhere but I can't seem to find the Hand and Nail Cream sold separately! They normally come in trios or duos. (Price stated above is the trio set!) Everything about this hand cream is marvellous. It gives a beautiful clean rose scent and the texture is creamy and smooth. I find it just right when used in air conditioned rooms, so it probably won't be strong enough for Winter.

5. Loccitane Almond Delicious Hands
You can't write a "Best Hand Creams" list without having L'Occitane, the OG of hand creams on the list itself! This one is my favourite from the whole lot because of the delicious creamy and warm vanilla almond scent, not to mention the thick cream which envelopes your hands like a layer of warmth upon applying. I know that the Shea Butter Hand Cream is their best seller but I am never a fan of the shea butter smell.
Hydration level: 4/5
6. The Body Shop Strawberry Hand Cream
The Body Shop has always been famous for their sustainable and economical products, so I would definitely include this gem from them. The consistency of this hand cream is more towards a viscose but aqueous gel. I love using this one when my hands are not very dry or when they have just finished sweating a gallon. Choose your favourite scent from their official shop here. I personally like this scent and the satsuma one. (But I've had people telling me that the satsuma hand cream smells like scents from toilet cleaners, yikes!)

Honourable Mentions
Believe it or not, I'm not a fan of this. I think that the formulation of this product was not bad. The lightweight cream makes your hands hydrated without any greasiness. However, I'm pretty sure that I can get other hand creams like this without paying so much! I mean for the price point, I can probably buy litres of other hand creams. The fragrance was not fantastic either.

I've heard so many good reviews about this and I must say that the product itself is really luxurious. Knowing Aesop, they pride themselves on their usage of pure essential oils and how natural their brand is. If you watch Kendall Jenner's stories on Instagram, you'll also spot Aesop hand washes on her bathroom counter. However, I feel they are somewhat overpriced. The cream does feel very thick and luxurious but I couldn't stand the smell of it. Before the haters start bashing me, I would like to say that their scents are not for everyone. It's like saying Le Labo's Santal 33 is as good as Yves Saint Laurent's Mon Paris. You can't technically compare them because they are 2 totally different scents! However, I've had better smelling essential-oil filled hand creams. Aesop's hand balm is just not my cup of tea. But there is no question as to the hand balm's quality itself, I would give it a perfect rating!

And there you go, those are my favourite hand creams of 2022! Inez encourages everyone to use hand creams to get soft velvety hands!
